We are traditional roofers operating in Berkshire, focusing on specialist and historical roofs. We are experienced with slating and tiling, leadwork, stone masonry, carpentry and can also provide in-house scaffolding, as well as a materials sourcing service.

We provide roofing services in Berkshire from the wallplate up. We specialise in ecclesiastical work and carried out the re-roofing on churches throughout the South West of England.

Projects in Berkshire

One such project was the All Saints’ Church in Binfield, Berkshire. Records show that the church was appropriated in 1347 by the Abbot. The church which stands today dates back to the 14th Century, with mid 1800’s additions and restorations designed by the architect, Benjamin Ferry.

The restoration of the roofs was funded by the National Lottery Heritage and was carried out in two phases.

Phase One – we stripped and re-tiled the Lady Chapel, North Chapel and the Chancel roof slopes. The roofs were re-covered with new clay plain tiles, with the exception of the north slope of the North Chapel, where we re-used the best of the salvaged tiles.

Phase Two – we stripped and re-tiled the South Aisle and Porch roof slopes, renewed and rebuilt the lead valley gutter, insulation, lath and carried out plaster repairs to the ceilings.

See our gallery for more project we have worked on throughout our 50 years of trading.

We work with a variety of roofing materials, including stone slate, natural slate, plain tiling and leadwork. We have used these materials on churches in most of the home counties.
