Stone Slate

A substantial part of our work involves Cotswold stone slating projects. We have a great deal of skill and expertise in this very specialist craft. Learning all of the skills required to detail a Cotswold stone slate roof takes a lot of time, but even when this learning has been completed the full development of tile selection and laying will take a further number of years. Five of our teams dedicate themselves purely to stone slate projects.

The initial planning of any Cotswold stone slating project is very important. West Country Tiling will assist with all of this: from the source of the stone slates to the full specification and decisions regarding leadwork detailing. All of which will use traditional methods allied with modern battens and pegs. Once the initial planning decisions have been made we can prepare accurate quotes based on those decisions.
